SEDONA
General Itinerary
MONTEZUMA WELL- This ancestral sacred site is a limestone sinkhole formed long ago by the collapse of an underground cavern. It is fed a million and a half gallons of subterranean spring water daily and maintains a temperature of 76 degrees Fahrenheit. Both the Hohokam and Sinagaua Tribes irrigated crops with its waters. Their descendants, the present day Yavapai and Hopi Tribes have a traditional teaching of a time when they lived within the Earth, eventually emerging through Montezuma Well and the Grand Canyon. At the water's edge, we will experience a purification ceremony to clear our mind, body and spirit of that which no longer serves us. We then emerge renewed and purified to enter the red rocks of Sedona.
CHAPEL OF THE HOLY CROSS- In the heart of the red rocks of Sedona, this sacred site of power has been enhanced by a chapel designed by Marguerite Staude and Frank Lloyd Wright. The focal point of the Chapel is a 100 foot cross. This is a monument to faith and a fortress so filled with Spirit, that it spurs man's spirit Godward. It is an excellent site for prayers of thanksgiving for the beauty surrounding us, and silent meditation as we set our personal intentions to experience the magic and healing spirit of the vortexes of Sedona.
AIRPORT MESA- The Airport vortex is the only place in Sedona where people can enjoy a 360 degree panorama of the Sedona area. It is considered an electrical or up-flow vortex. Its energy is most easily "felt" as increasing physical body energy. This will energize the central nervous system allowing one to experience the altered states of consciousness associated with psychic phenomenon. Mentally, this energy sharpens the intellect and inspires and motivates the mind, making it easier to grasp new ideas and concepts. Spiritually, the power of this vortex can awaken the soul and deepest levels of the psyche as well as activate consciously the intuitive faculties that aid us in our spiritual endeavor and understand. This vortex is an excellent place to balance the male and female energies within ourselves and contemplate the delicate balance of these power in our lives. We honor the duality, balance, harmony, and wholeness for ourselves, the planet, and all of our relations.
BELL ROCK- Bell Rock is one of the primary focal points of the "energy grid" of electromagnetic Earth energy which connects many power spots around the planet. Attunement to bio-etheric forces and geomagnetic energies is effortlessly experienced and paves the way for the progressive awakening of certain nonordinary states of awareness that are vital for conscious self-transformation. Bell Rock is also considered to be a beacon vortex where energies from outer space enter the body of the Earth. Incoming celestial forces empower the planet and assist in her growth and change through celestial ley lines. Earth sends her own energy out into space, lending her force to the life of the universe as a whole. Bell Rock is a place where one may access incoming celestial powers that may elevate the consciousness and sensitize the mind to the most ancient of universal powers and knowledge.
